Ursa Light

This year I created a lighting system that will bring another element to lighting other than just turning the switch on.

This lighting system brings a decorative effect to the surrounding spaces with the use of patterns and shadows. When the light is off it blends into the environment that it is placed in. This adds a contemporary and stylish object to the room that they are placed in, using a minimal material palate with the use of woods and veneers. With this, I will be giving the lighting system a natural presence, thus making the light more atmospheric, giving the room a more calm and magical feel, with the use of patterns and shadows to change how the light feels when it is switched on.

I have also looked at scale and have designed and created a floor light, wall light, desk light and a chandelier each of them changing the way the room feels in their own way.
