My photography and styling is based around youth culture and coming of age. I am drawn to capturing young adults who are at a time in their lives where they are experiencing a lot of feelings of uncertainty for the future and who are on the potential flux of the adulthood cusp. The concept for this shoot was on modern masculinity, particularly for men of colour and redefining stereotypes. I wanted to capture modern masculinity in a positive way and remove the idea of toxic masculinity. The images celebrate male bodies, emotions and vulnerability in the comfort of my subjects home.
