Bankside

My menswear collection is derived from coarse fishing and source pieces and photographs of my brothers equipment. His long-term obsession with the sport has produced an extensive collection of specialist equipment. Photographs of key pieces feature in my personal archive in my collection research. My source pieces include a large fold out cube tackle bag, a bivvy mosquito net and a pair of rubber waders. These very functional, quite practical pieces are being taken into a new world and mixed with mid 80s luxury menswear. The mood is set through the idea of urban fishing, and my research includes a number of photographs of unlikely fishing locations. Rods can be seen set up alongside populated housing estates and power stations. Representing the fusing of country and city, creating the luxe focus for my collection.
