Phoebe Palmer / Fine Art Sculpture BA(Hons)

Throughout my practice my interest has proliferated in reflective surfaces and installation works. This has opened a vast series of experimentations, created using different mediums and surfaces, to produce resolved works which respond to the surrounding space as well as any reflective surfaces placed within the space. Many of my previous works have been influenced by distortion, intertwined with my interest in primary colours and shape. Each work has been influenced by the concept of colour and shape and the relationship between these subjects, as well as how they can be identified as a resolved piece of work by using multimedia such as lighting, shadow and distortion. By incorporating primary colour and the surrounding space as well as using installation, I have been able to create distortion and reflection through shadow and colour as well as layering each surface to create 3D installations which hold visual minimalist attributes.
