For my Final Major Project, I explored the use of contemporary materials/ yarn juxtaposed with traditional weaving styles for a modern twist. I produced fabrics suitable for beachwear and swimwear with water durable qualities as I aspire to be a swimwear designer. As a lover of repeat pattern, I gain a lot of my inspiration from modern architecture. From this, I produced woven designs with shape and pattern informed by building structures.
