My practice is hugely centered around colour. I often explore how texture, composition and narrative can be amplified by a specific colour pallette and how this can control the gaze of the viewer and place them within what is usually a whimsical and unrealistic, but somehow believable, visual world. I often juxtapose visually overbearing patterns and textures with precision and balance in an attempt to create these whimsical worlds in the fields of illustration, animation and film. Fashion, drag, psychadelia and nature also heavily influence my practice particularly with regards to creating characters and people/portraits.
