These pieces were made as part of my project which documented the forgotten and neglected establishments in and around Croydon. The works shown here are a small selection of 25 cm x 15cm clay models, as well as 2 photographic, double-exposure style images, created from photographs taken of some of the actual locations I documented as part of this project. With these pieces I aimed to ‘celebrate the uncelebrated’, highlighting the often overlooked aesthetic and charm of everyday high street shops and businesses.
