My illustration practice is hugely inspired by the natural world. I am fascinated in nature and capturing it in colourful illustrations that show the beauty of the environment around us. I aim to produce illustrations that are not only accurate depictions of the subject but that are also exciting and vibrant with the aim of making learning about the natural world fun and engaging. I enjoy working in a selection of different materials but most recently I have found that working in colouring pen and polychromos pencils allows me to achieve such rich and striking colours. My final project whilst in third year was to produce a non-fiction book about insects, showing how wonderfully diverse and curious they are.
