For my final outcomes, I produced a series of wearable objects in metal. To inform these pieces, I have used my dreams as well as real experiences and turned them into illustrations that influence and surround my objects. This has been achieved through acid etching and jewellery making to produce a wearable object with a deeper meaning behind it.
This has led me to create ‘characters’ in silver. These characters bring my illustrations and stories to life. Following this way of working I have developed larger scale work such as the wearable armour pieces.
This provides a larger surface area where my stories can be told and give greater depth to my characters, in the form of three main stories: “Reaper Guiding Souls to the Afterlife”, “The Mad God Skinny” and “A Fallen World”. These three narratives are created on their own gauntlets, like a stage for these imaginary worlds.
