Pakpoom Hadley / Fashion Design with Business studies BA(Hons)

I am a designer who has an interest on making multiple minimalist and practical work. This final collection is looking through 1960’s fashion that is based in the futuristic era and combines the definition of lamp shape, in which developing into its sculpture. The aim of collection is to create a modern look for women with the tension of the feels being gigantic and flawless as the same time.

My own father who was an electrical engineer in the 1960’s inspired the idea for this collection. This led me to look into products that he worked with such as vintage lamps by Yamagiwa and Hans-agne Jakobsson. Furthermore, 1960’s is the era of modern fashion that was a futuristic vibe, so is a perfect combination between modern and futuristic. Most influences came from taking-in sculptural shape such as different strips and other minimalistic design, in which can be transform into a collection with practical form.
