Absence of Body by Maria Dowsett

Absence of Body looks at the different ways Fashion Photography can be utilised when there is no model present. Through a range of surrealist photographs, it challenges the fashion industry’s need for the perfect model by swapping them for plastic mannequins. Absence of Body also looks at the way still life photography can be used to capture human lives, be it through our possessions or our body’s form.
