Finlay Robinson / Illustration BA(Hons)

Environmental art practice, making work that reflects and brings into question unsustainable practices of the Anthropocene. Exploring subjects matters such as the melting ice caps and ocean fracking, I wanted to gain an emotional response from an audience that involved everyone, for me this became possible as I began to personify these catastrophies that are ongoing and caused by no single individual. The project ‘Man Made Natural Catastrophies Personified as Mother Earth’ brings a sense of individuality to the issues and reaps an emotional response by staring the issues themselves straight in the face, the face of a malnourished, mistreated Earth, that hopefully one might want to help.
