Ailsa Chaplin / Fashion Communication with Business Studies BA(Hons)

As a stylist, expressing our most intimate and relatable human experiences through the curation of characters is at the centre of your practice. There’s certainly a consistent exploration of queerness, otherness and existentialism within my work, touching on the general feelings of displacement that come with feeling different to people around you. Creating is how we translate our perspective of the world, so I just think it’s about trying to have a conversation and connect, to be understood. But maybe that’s total bollocks and I just like dressing up. Who knows? That’s the fun of it
