Zac Marsh / Fine Art Painting BA(Hons)

These paintings could be conceived as recollections of an alternate reality, a distant land, may they intend to arouse curiosity and provoke a deeper connection with the natural world and man’s relationship to it. It is only human to question our place within these fragile systems, so in the creation of dreamlike worlds we may be reminded of our ability to find beauty within nature. We struggle to find purpose within our complex culture, more harm can be inflicted to one’s wellbeing and often people find themselves more lost and confused in this plight. These new and unfamiliar worlds of vast sunsets and luscious forests offer sanctuary and encourage a return to exploration within the physical and the spiritual; I welcome you to wander and lose yourself in these dreamscapes but remain weary for our place within the mystifying landscapes we call home hasn’t been established and without the reverence and loyalty it deserves, it may consume us all.
