A sequence of experiments following the change of my believe on an opinion: “the Chinese female body was exhibited, embezzled and sacrificed”, which was described as the image of women on Chinese mainstream medias, especially those worked as frontline medical staff during coronavirus crisis. Through this project I questioned the above opinion from my point of view, as a early 20 Chinese woman, such as asking “Is the world not as disappointing as we thought? Am I just imprisoning myself?”. By applying different practices, including short animations, remade the existing footages, perfomance by myself, and additionally, tried to challenge the traditional way of watching the screen with one single vision. Finally, based on the trip of questioning, the final video responds this with four phases (layers).
