The multifaceted concept for this womenswear collection draws inspiration from eccentric idols such as Edie Beale, Iris Apfel, Anna Piaggi and Diana Vreeland.

It curates elements of their personal style and individual eccentricities such as Edie Beale’s love of makeshift wrap-skirts and headwear. This is mirrored by my own tendency to tie my clothes into knots to create shape. An interest in the wrapped headpieces worn by these women led to research into the women of the Herero Tribe in Namibia. Their beautiful headpieces are created by binding and wrapping objects in cloth.

This collection is shaped by my love of the absurd and the interesting. Draped, knotted and manipulated structures create dimensional pieces which are non-conventional and asymmetric. The textile aesthetic of this collection derives from Iris Apfel’s maximalist lifestyle and Diana Vreeland’s monochromatic red apartment, comprised of eclectic items in mismatching prints.
