Kat Lerer is an illustrator and graphic artist. In her spare time she enjoys videogames, reading and anime, and decided to combine all three passions to create this visual novel. She wrote and illustrated everything herself, with some minor assists with coding and music from outside sources.
This work aims to interrogate how we engage with otherness through the romancing of several monstrous characters. Each monster is different, and the focus of the game is to impress them through dialogue options, instead of the way dating sims are normally focused on romace through gift giving. Kat strove to provide an experience that reflected what it is like to move somewhere new, meet new people and try to impress them through dialogue choices and small minigames. The game itself is an ever-evolving organism, as people keep finding and reporting bugs. While her initial work is still available via mediafire or a wetransfer link, since submission she has been debugging and changing things for ease of play, and reuploading to itch.io as needed.
