‘Why Do We Work’ project operates as a creative and informative platform. It is dedicated for girls and young women interested in planning their professional lives, and consists of digital comic-book and social media account. Not only my artwork takes a critical view of social, economic and cultural issues, but also acts as a campaign encouraging girls and young women to explore different career pathways. Often referencing government statistics and feminist studies, my work explores the varying relationships between female population and work. The characters and stories in the comic-book link to conducted research using QR codes – reader follows the narrative alongside participating in online community built on Instagram. In my work I rely on our drive to create better environment for future generations.
