Preserving the Biosphere

Each of my projects provide a mixed-media experience that uses material means to consider notions of conservation in the natural Biopshere environment:

  • The first Composite Gravestones, considers a sustainable solution to over-populated cemeteries through biodegradable grave memorials giving the land-site greater longevity.
  • Future Fossils, is an interactive journey and Augmented Reality App that guides the user through the Biosphere – telling the story of our future if our materialistic and wasteful consumption continues.
  • A Living Souvenir, provides an alternative solution to the waste created by tourism on the environment.

My work explores both the physical and digital forms of exploration through making. I am fascinated with wildlife conservation and sustainability, which has driven my primarily digital practice.
