Dan Collier / Moving Image BA(Hons

I am Daniel Collier, a filmmaker based in Brighton and London. I have been making videos for around a decade. Starting off by making short animations and sketches, and making vlogs for my YouTube channel. In 2015, I joined the BFI Film Academy, where I was trained as a Sound Recordist, by the Scottish BAFTA Winning Sound Engineer, David Harcombe. From then on, sound has played an important part in a lot of my work.

Since coming to the University of Brighton, I have been exploring the artistic side of filmmaking, and have used my previous skills to explore and experiment with a variety of ideas. A lot of my recent work utilises minimalism, with themes stemming from niche topics, such as: constructed languages, numbers stations, and trademarked colours.
